Message from Pastor Elaine regarding

Homegoing Celebration for their Mother, Minnie Britt

I extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our wonderful Academy family and friends for your prayers and overwhelming showering of love that we have received since the passing of our Mother.   Your words of encouragement have given us strength and comforted our hearts.

On September 30th, Mother departed this life and was ushered into the presence of the Lord, where she is now rejoicing, free from all pain.  Her life on earth was well spent.  At the age of 19, Mother accepted Jesus as Lord of her life.  For seventy three years she was a dedicated, faithful, committed woman of God, who shared her faith and unashamedly told many people about Jesus.  She had a unique ability to win souls and build faith.  She was dearly loved by all who knew her.  She made a lasting impact on many people from all walks of life.  It has been amazing to hear the beautiful stories of how she influenced many lives.

Mother invested much love, time and efforts in her children and made many sacrifices in teaching us the Word of God and training us to sing, play musical instruments, to love all people and to have strong work ethics.  Little did Mother know, that she was preparing her children for full time ministry.

Yes, our hearts are aching. It's never easy to say goodbye; yet we rejoice in knowing that we will see her again.

I will say more later, for at this time, we  are very busy making arrangements and planning for Mother's Homegoing Celebration.   As many have requested, we are providing the information regarding the service.

You are so dear and special to me.  I love you, and  I'm praying for you.  Thanks again!  Please continue to keep our family in your prayers.
